Live Text, extra-large widgets, and more: Save time with Zoho Finance apps for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15
As soon as Apple announced iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 during WWDC21 earlier this June, our developers at Zoho Finance set to work to ensure that you would be able to experience all the latest features from day one.
And now, with the official launch of the latest operating systems, we’re delighted to let you know that all apps in the Zoho Finance suite have embraced it. This software update brings with it features that help you get more work done in less time. Let's take a look at them, shall we?

This announcement from Apple has significant features that are exclusive to the iPad. Here's how Zoho Finance apps make the most of them:
Widgets come home in an extra-large size
iPadOS 15 brings widgets right into your Home Screen! Taking advantage of the larger screen space in iPads, the Zoho Finance widgets will now be available in an additional size: extra-large, so you can view more of your business details at a glance. This bigger size will be available for widgets like Receivable Summary and Time Tracker, letting you keep an eye on these key metrics with ease.
To ensure that this info is only for your eyes, your sensitive business data in these widgets will be hidden on the Lock Screen.
Quick Notes to jot down ideas
Noting your business insights is now easier than ever with Quick Notes, an iPad-exclusive feature. With just a swipe up from the bottom-right corner of your screen, you can add a note while using Zoho Books, Zoho Invoice, or Zoho Expense.
For instance, you can drag your Top Expenses graph from your Zoho Books dashboard onto a Quick Note, and jot down your ideas on how to reduce expenses. And the next time you visit your dashboard, you'll see a Quick Note thumbnail in the corner to remind you of your ideas.
Faster navigation with external keyboards
Connect a keyboard to your iPad and navigate across your Zoho Finance apps with the same ease as using a desktop computer. With iPadOS 15 supporting full keyboard navigation & new shortcuts, you can switch from creating invoices to sending payment reminders, all from your keyboard. Long press the Command key to see the list of keyboard shortcuts available.
Those are the major changes for the iPad. Apple has also brought in new features for your iPhone—here's a round-up of how Zoho Finance apps have adopted them:
Multiple barcode scanning
With the latest update, adding multiple items to a transaction takes less time. You can scan multiple barcodes at a time to add line items. What's more, you won't even have to move your phone around to capture the barcode properly. With automatic zoom, barcodes of all sizes will now be captured precisely even from a distance. This feature is supported in Zoho Invoice, Zoho Books, and Zoho Inventory.
Live Text for faster input
Apple has introduced Live Text, a cool feature that can extract text from images in real-time. We've adopted this in all Zoho Finance apps. When you create transactions, you can now fill in details like email addresses, phone numbers, and URLs by double-tapping the corresponding field and pointing your device's camera to anything that has these details, such as a business card or email.
Time-sensitive notification during Focus
Focus in iOS 15 helps you stay in the moment, without getting distracted by notifications. However, when you run a business, there are some situations that need your attention right away. For example, you might have a business trip coming up in 3 days but you've forgotten to book a hotel room. If you've enabled time-sensitive notifications, Zoho Expense will now notify you, breaking through your Focus mode so you never miss anything important.
To give you a better idea of how these features can make your work easier, we've made a short video that demonstrates them:
To experience these features for yourselves, upgrade to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 now.
