Happy New Year 2014 to everyone! On this new year, let’s see some of the latest features of Zoho Analytics.
100% Group Bar Chart
This type of bar chart is quite useful when you have to compare each member’s contribution to the overall pie over a period of time. It’s like having a series of pie charts lined up, only better.
The 100% Group is available as an option for all summary functions.
Column Subtotals
So far, pivot tables only had row level subtotals. Now, column level subtotals are there too. Like with row subtotals, you can choose to show or hide column subtotals.
Top/Bottom N Filter Enhancement
Till now, when you applied a Top/Bottom N filter to a report, you chose a base column only from the primary table over which the report was created. From now on, you can also choose a base column from any of the related tables.
White Label – Multi-dashboards View
The white label solution of Zoho Analytics now supports an optional home view. This new view will be useful for those who want to show their embedded dashboards to their clients/end users, without exposing the individual reports and tables.
Clicking on ‘Sales Cost Analysis’, ‘Sales Running Total’, ‘Top 10 Customers’ etc will open the respective dashboards. the ‘View All Reports’ link at the top-right is optional and can be hidden.
Other new features include,
- Renaming of a chart’s legends.
- More control over what gets shown to shared users. In ‘View Underlying Data’, only the columns used in a report get shown by default now. More columns can be selected/unselected to be shown.
- When you click ‘Edit Design’ of a table now, you will see a couple of new functions. 1) Add Custom and Aggregate formulas and 2) Export the table design as csv, xls or pdf.
Try these new features out in Zoho Analytics now and post your comments.
