Recap of 2022 with Zoho Connect

It’s been an eventful year for us at Zoho Connect. From releasing the much-anticipated Ultimate edition to winning the leader category for employee intranet at the G2 Crowd Awards, this year has been a roller coaster of a ride. None of this would’ve been possible without you, our user community. Thank you for all the suggestions, feedback, love, and support!

Now that we're in December and the year quickly draws to a close, here’s a quick recap of what we did in the year 2022.

Cultivate a culture of appreciation and recognition  

Recognizing good work and timely appreciation is essential for building a motivated and happy workforce. To simplify the process of rewards, we forged our in-house peer-to-peer recognition module, Gamification. With levels, points, and badges, it’s easy to ensure that employees get inspired, actively participate, and stay engaged. Whether you want to say thank you to a colleague who helped you with an important presentation, or acknowledge someone who has been performing well, say it with a badge.  

Build a robust information architecture 

Who doesn't love to get a quick update of everything important in a single glance?  Dashboard in Zoho Connect does exactly that. With 40+ widgets and a drag-and-drop builder, Dashboard can be fully customized to share information with all users in the network. From sharing important news and announcements to a countdown timer to build enthusiasm for a special company event, Dashboard is your go-to place.

Tap into the collective intelligence of your workforce 

Just think of the unlimited benefits of tapping into the collective ability of your team. Ground-breaking ideas can occur to anyone in the organization, and it’s important to have the right platform for employees to document those thoughts. The Ideas module in Zoho Connect is readily available at your fingertips and will encourage employees to share their ideas as they occur. You can keep better track of shared ideas by categorizing and assigning a status to them, and collecting contextual feedback with votes and comments.

Turn employees into your brand ambassadors 

Employee advocacy is one of the most effective ways to boost your brand reputation with clients and potential recruits. Why? Because content shared by employees is more credible. Harness this possibility of ambassadorship by making company content accessible to every employee with social advocacy, where employees can share the company’s content on their social channels like LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook in a matter of seconds. Get insights on the shares and engagement on each platform with the reports option.

Increase productivity with automation 

Automation is everywhere, and the best intranet must make work easy with functional workflows that are easy to set up. Therefore, we've added a bunch of automation options like Workflows, Dynamic Membership, and Schedulers to help automate mundane tasks and spend resources on some of the more tedious tasks.

Create trigger-based rules for modules based on specific actions. You can save time on routine actions, such as adding tasks, creating events, and adding users to Groups or Boards. Similarly, you can configure Schedulers to repeat actions at daily, weekly, or monthly intervals.

Improve internal communication and collaboration  

Over this past year, we’ve also made a number of updates to Connect’s communication and collaboration tools to make it easier for your employees to stay on the same page.

Mandatory reads  

Mark important announcements, critical news, or updates as mandatory reads so that no one misses any critical information.

Scheduled posts  

Schedule and share posts so that they reach employees at the right time, regardless of shifts or time zones.

Custom roles  

Reduce administrative overhead by combining required permissions to grant selected individuals the ability to manage specific areas of the network in custom roles.

Task dependency  

Provide assignees with a clear outline of the order tasks need to be performed by establishing a relationship between tasks.

Organization chart 

Help employees understand the company structure and hierarchy, and help them reach out to the right people with the organization chart.

Ending the year on a high note! 

We’re super excited to share that Zoho Connect was recognized as a leader by the G2 Crowds Awards in the Employee Intranet category for Summer 2022. With the momentum gained through this recognition, we'll work toward improving Zoho Connect in every way possible in 2023.
