The new Zoho Calendar with improved features was released a couple of months ago. As mentioned in our previous blog, Zoho Calendar has been completely revamped to provide its users with an entirely new look and experience.
We have added some much-anticipated features and enhancements to transform Zoho Calendar and give you an intuitive, simplified scheduling experience.
Scheduling events made more convenient
We add events to our calendar in different ways, and the information we include in those events varies as well. We schedule meetings on the go, add important specifics to an event, or write a detailed description of an event.
All of this is possible with Zoho Calendar. Use Smart Add to create an event by typing a phrase like "Lunch at 12pm with @Austin" or use Quick Add to create an event by simply clicking on the calendar grid. You may also add extra details to the event in the detailed event creation tab.
Send invitations and control access
You can invite participants to your event and choose to provide them permission to view the event, edit the event, or add participants to the event. What if the participant is too busy to participate? You can see their free/ busy schedules while creating an event and schedule the meeting when everyone is available to.
If your attendees are spread out across the globe and video conferencing is required, we've got you covered. Simply use Zoho Meeting to set up a video conference while adding the event to ensure no one misses an event.
Never miss out on an event
Even in the midst of your hectic schedule, don't stress over forgetting to respond to an invitation or attend a meeting or event. Calendar keeps you up to date with notifications and emailed event invites and event updates. You can respond to event invitations directly from your notifications.
Even if you're drowning in work, Zoho Calendar's multi-level reminders will help you stay on top of your schedule. Reminders can now be set at both the calendar and event levels. There are three kinds of reminder notifications: pop-up, email, and the notification bell. Set multiple reminders at different time intervals to help you stay on track. You can also choose to turn off your reminders if you need to take a break from work and resume receiving them later.
Give your calendar a personal touch
Zoho Calendar gives you options to personalize the look of your calendar, just like you do with your phone and laptop wallpapers, fonts, and styles. You can customize your calendar with a theme that inspires you. The calendar grid can be displayed in eight different views: Day, Week, Work, Month, 2 Months, 3 Months, Year, and Agenda. You can also choose from Classic, Compact, or Super Compact layouts depending on your needs.
Choose different colors for the different calendars you create, as well as the events you add to your calendars. This will make it easier to distinguish between events added across and within the calendar. Also, Zoho Calendar is now available in 60 different languages, and you can select the language that best suits your needs.
Working across time zones made easier
Adding an event to your calendar is pointless if it doesn't translate to your current time zone. In Zoho Calendar, you can choose your default time zone, which will be reflected in all of your Zoho services. You can also choose to be notified when your time zone changes if you travel frequently.
In addition, if you frequently work with someone from a different time zone, you can now set a Secondary time zone for your calendar. This will eliminate the need to constantly check their local time or calculate the difference when scheduling an event. You can use your calendar grid to show the Secondary time zone and plan activities with teams from all over the world.
Book meeting rooms from your calendar
Are you frequently disappointed to discover your office's conference rooms are already booked after walking over to set up for your meeting? Don't worry: administrators can use Zoho Calendar's Resource Booking to add different office locations, rooms within those offices, and the resources available in those rooms. You can check for room availability and book them from your calendar.
In addition to creating events, managing participants, and booking resources, Zoho Calendar allows you to create and manage multiple calendars. Calendar acts as a unified scheduling platform, allowing you to sync Zoho app calendars as well as other calendars.
In our next feature overview blog post, we will dive deep into managing multiple calendars, group calendars, sharing, and syncing calendars.

I used to work with a few e-mail alias and domains inside my Zoho account, each one is addressed to a different propose, so it will be nice if I could define from each of my alias address my invitations will be sent, currently it cause a lot of constraints with my public. Att and keep the good work!

I would like to see the ability to schedule from email.
Hi Franz, I believe your request is about scheduling an event from an email or using the text in the email. For this, you can select the text in the email preview and click on Add to calendar from the icon pop-up. You can also use the More actions drop-down in the email preview window and select Add to Calendar. A Create event window will appear for you to schedule an event.
Can you add a feature to send a calender invite directly through the mail?
Hello Sahil, We have the feature to send the event invitation directly through email. You can click on the event you created and use the send button on top of the event view tab, to compose an email with the event details. I hope this will help you.
One of trusted mail I have seen so far
Hi Ekanem, Thank you very much for your kind words.
Please include a simple snooze feature. While sending a mail we can define reminders, but when receiving, there is no flexibility to snooze the reminder.
Hello Seshadri, You'll have the option to snooze reminders for both emails you send and receive. For email reminders, you can find the Snooze button in the reminder notification. For an event reminder in Zoho Calendar, you can snooze the reminder if you choose the pop-up reminder option. In addition to reminders, you can also snooze an email to read/ reply later.
