Introducing consent management, polls, send-time optimization, and more.

While some people claim that email marketing is dead, the innovations that regularly take place in the space ensure that email is alive and kicking. In fact, email marketing is evolving to become one of the best channels you can use.

To keep up with the pace of new regulations and developments in email marketing, Zoho Campaigns has come up with a bunch of exciting updates. In our previous blog, we spoke about our new user interface, easy-to-use template editor, dynamic content, and more—basically, all the things that help you reach your subscribers in a more personalized way.

With this new update, we bring features that will help you improve your engagement rates, build a solid connection with your audience, and organize your marketing activities better than ever.

So keep reading to know how you can benefit from this update:

Email consent management to improve brand reputation.

We all like good emails, the kind that helps us stay ahead of the curve and offers value for the time we invest in reading them. At the same time, we don’t like random emails that enter our inbox without our permission. The same thing goes for our subscribers as well. If you are a company that builds its subscriber base from trade shows, events, or word-of-mouth, you need to seek your subscriber’s consent before sending any marketing emails.

In the spirit of GDPR, which will be coming into law on the 25th of May, 2018, we are introducing consent management in Zoho Campaigns. This feature lets you secure explicit consent from your subscribers, and track who has given you permission to send specific promotional emails and who hasn’t. With consent management in place, you can be sure you are only reaching out to those people who trust your brand and are interested in your emails. This, in turn, will help improve your deliverability rates to a greater extent.

Polls to make emails more interactive and engaging.

Interactive emails are sure to grab the attention of your subscribers. With email polls, you will be able to ask questions, find topics that interest your audience, analyze their behavior, and more—right from your emails.

Marketing calendar to plan and execute campaigns.

Email campaigns work better when you plan them in advance and reach out to your audience at the right time. What better way to organize your campaign schedule than to build a complete marketing calendar? With this update, we have prepopulated the calendar with important dates in each country to make sure you will never miss an opportunity.

Send-time optimization to increase engagement rates.

Your subscribers open your emails from different geographies and at different parts of the day, so it is important to send emails such that they are most likely to be opened. With send-time optimization, your emails will automatically be timed based on your subscribers’ past open rates.

Batch emails to streamline your web traffic.

When you have a massive subscriber count, pushing your emails to all the subscribers at once will bring unmanageable traffic to your website. With batch send option, you will be able to split your list into batches and send emails at an interval. This reduces the pressure on your web servers and also lets you analyze your email performance in parts.

RSS to social media for a quick reach.

You can now auto-publish blogs, news, and updates on different social media channels. This option can save a lot of your time while also keeping your customers updated about what’s happening in your brand.
