We recently teased that a new product was on the way, and the time has come to tell you all about it!
Over the past couple of years, Zoho Mail identified a need common to many businesses: they were struggling to consistently deliver transactional emails to their users. In our previous blog, we looked at a few examples of this problem. We identified that all these businesses needed a good, reliable, and secure transactional email service to gain their customers' trust.
This is why we at Zoho Mail are launching TransMail, our very own transactional email sending service that is crafted to overcome these specific challenges. Transactional emails are unique, automated emails like order confirmations, OTP emails, and so on that are triggered by your users, often time-sensitive, and contain crucial information.
You do not have to be a Zoho Mail user to enjoy TransMail. Whether you develop applications or simply run a website for your business, TransMail is your solution to ensure that these important emails are always securely delivered at the right time and to the right place. Our affordable and flexible payment plan makes it ideal for businesses of all sizes!
The TransMail story
Since 2015, more than 45 applications in Zoho have relied on TransMail to deliver our transactional emails to our customers throughout their lifecycle. If you're a Zoho customer, chances are that you're already receiving emails sent using TransMail.
For the past few months, we've been working to make TransMail available to you all. As the first step towards that, TransMail has been available in private beta for a while, and over 1000 businesses have signed up for this beta version.
TransMail is now stepping out of private beta and will be available for everyone to explore — whether you're a Zoho Mail user or not!
How is TransMail different?
Your customers expect your transactional emails to reach them instantly. The deliverability of these emails relies on the reputation of the email sender. This reputation is affected each time a marketing email from your service is marked as spam. Since TransMail only sends transactional emails, we see a higher engagement than senders who also allow marketing and bulk emails, thus ensuring high deliverability and reliability for your emails.
What can TransMail do?
Setup TransMail
Once you've signed up, you can integrate your business with TransMail using two set up options — SMTP or Email APIs. You know your business best, so you get to decide how you want to set up TransMail. You can use the simple SMTP configuration to get started in a few easy steps or use our Email APIs for deeper integration with TransMail.
With your integration in place, you can begin sending your transactional emails from TransMail.
Monitor your emails
While the actual sending of transactional emails is important, the process doesn't stop once they're on their way. With TransMail's email performance tracking tools, you can use custom domains to monitor recipient activity on your emails like opens, clicks, bounces, and more. Detailed information about the transactional emails you send will allow you to improve your email practices and ensure great email deliverability.
A flexible payment plan for all
TransMail also doesn't weigh you down with monthly subscriptions. Our pay-as-you-go payment system means you only purchase credits when you need them and not because you have to. With no monthly expiry, you can use these credits up to six months from purchase. To help you hit the road running, we even start you with a free credit.
Introductory offer
We have a special introductory offer for Zoho Mail and Zoho Workplace users. All Zoho Mail and Workplace paid users get a 30% discount on all TransMail email credit purchases from now until October 31, 2021. Sign up today to get the most out of this offer period.
TransMail has much more to offer for your business. We'll be back soon with our next blog about all the features in TransMail. In the meantime, take a look at our help documentation and website to find out more about our platform.

The question is: Why would we use Zoho Mail now if it has deliverability problems?
Hi there! ZeptoMail is a separate product for sending transactional emails. It is not aimed at improving the deliverability of Zoho Mail. While Zoho Mail is used for business emails, sending a large number of automated emails violates the usage policy. This is where ZeptoMail comes into the picture. Irrespective of which business email you use, you can employ ZeptoMail to send automated transactional emails from your application or site. Hope this helps. :)
you have so many very similar products. It's a bit exhausting.
Hi Catherine, TransMail is specifically and exclusively for sending transactional emails from your website or application to your users. Zoho Mail on the other hand is used to send business emails by employees of an organization. Hope this helps clarify the distinction.
Does Transmail integrate with Zoho CRM workflows? We are currently having delivery issues with CRM workflow emails.
Is transmail what currently powers zoho books emails? Because those are less deliverable than zoho mail, although that might because we need to tweak some settings. Too many mail servers to deal with for the same domain.
Yes, Jason. Zoho Books transactional emails are powered by TransMail. Tweaking your settings should help. You can always reach out to us at support(at)transmail(dot)com for further help.
we are already using zoho mail under workplace plan which recently upgraded to Zoho One. is the transmail is the same zoho email or this different product.
Hi Sachin, Yes, TransMail is a separate product that is explicitly for sending transactional emails like order confirmations, invoices, account updates to your customers. TransMail is not a part of Zoho One so you can sign up to TransMail here.
I was using the BETA transmail. But there were a lot of problems. I delete all ZOHO accounts. Now I am trying to create a TRANSMAIL account, and when I place my domain, it says that it is already being used. But I had already removed my domain. I need urgent support.
Hi, thank you for reaching out to us, Sandro. TransMail has come a long way from its Beta version. Please do try our platform and share your feedback. You can always reach out to support(at)transmail(dot)com if you need support with the setup. :)

Are certain credits included as a part of organizational Zoho One subscription?
Hi, Priyank. TransMail is not a part of the Zoho One suite since it might not be relevant to most Zoho One business. However, on signing up with TransMail, you get a free credit (10000 emails) to explore our platform.
Good and innovative tech solution. Thanks once again Zoho for great online tools
Thank you for the kind words. :)
Would this be available on Zoho One?
Hi Julien. TransMail is not a part of the Zoho One suite. Since TransMail is a product that is mostly application developers focused, it’s not expected to be relevant to most Zoho One businesses.
This is a good news for the business which uses transactional email service.
This looks like it can be very beneficial moving forward
Thank you, Shayur. :)
Extremely good Features. I wanted to used for https://www.findafine.com
We hope TransMail proves to be beneficial for your business, Prakash. :)
Great. I liked Zoho products. We at planndesign.com uses AWS email api service. How it is different? Thanks
Hi Gorav, Unlike Amazon SES, we at TransMail only allow transactional emails to be sent from our service. By eliminating marketing emails that could be marked as spam, we are able to build a better sender reputation with ESPs ensuring fast and reliable delivery of your emails. TransMail also lets you monitor recipient activity like opens, clicks and bounces with ease. You will not have to setup a separate service to track your emails. You can even use a custom domain for email tracking and use webhooks for instant notifications. All these features and a pay-as-you-go pricing plan allows us to provide a user-friendly service at an affordable cost. Do try TransMail for your business and let us know your feedback!
I guess this is one of the most affordable services in the transactional email service. Nice feature. I look forward to using your TansEmail for my eCommerce website HTTP://www.CocoaMantra.com. Thank you Srikanth Chocolate mantrahttps://www.chocolatemantra.com
