Local at the core, not at the edges

Running a business should not mean piecing together one system for accounting, another for compliance, and several spreadsheets to connect the two. At the heart of the new edition is Zoho Books, built to help Nigerian businesses bring everyday accounting and local compliance into the same workflow.

Businesses can automatically apply the appropriate VAT treatment to transactions based on the item and customer classification. Reverse-charge requirements can be handled within relevant sales and purchase transactions, while withholding VAT can be managed across transaction types for both customers and vendors. When it is time to prepare tax information, Zoho Books can generate sales VAT schedules in the format required for the TaxProMax portal. Businesses can also generate and submit e-invoices to the Nigeria Revenue Service portal or its Merchant Buyer Solution through an approved e-invoicing service provider.

The aim is simple: make compliance a natural part of the financial process. When the right information is captured as work happens, teams spend less time correcting records, compiling data, and moving between systems later.
