Today we are excited to announce that we've enabled Facebook Connect for Zoho. This means now you can try or logon to all Zoho services using your Facebook credentials. In the past we've done the same for Google, Google Apps and Yahoo! users. So now it was Facebook's turn.
Some of you may have noticed the Facebook icon in our login box:
Logging in with Facebook is really easy. If you don't have a Zoho account yet, you can just go ahead and use your Facebook account (or one of the other options) to login to Zoho. Click on the icon and follow the simple instructions.
Can I share a Zoho document with a Facebook friend who doesn't have a Zoho account?
Sure, you can, go ahead. Just share that document with you friend. Once he comes to the Zoho site, he can login through the Facebook option using the same e-mail address that you used for sharing that document and ta-da, he's all set.
And of course, it's not only Zoho documents, but for the other 20+ apps that make-up the Zoho suite of products. You can share, but also invite them to your project, your report, your Creator app, etc.
I am existing Zoho user, can I link my account?
If you already are one of the millions of people using Zoho, chances are you also have a Facebook account. No problem... you can link your existing Zoho account to your existing Facebook account.
You have two options for doing this:
- Just login to Zoho using the Facebook icon - when you login using the same e-mail address you have registered at Zoho we'll automatically recognize it's you.
- Or, if you are already logged into Zoho, no need to log out. You just need to:
- Got to your account setting (or account.zoho.com)
- In the "Link Accounts" section you'll find the option for linking your Facebook account.
We're sure this will make your web experience a lot better when you don't need to remember an extra password neither login to multiple sites in the morning. This is not the first time we are doing an integration with Facebook. Some time ago we released the Zoho Online Office Facebook app to give you ready access to your office files within your Facebook account. Not that you'd be on Facebook while you work, of course! ;)
