As we reach the end of 2022, we wanted to take a look back at our journey with Zoho Learn. After we launched Zoho Learn in October 2021, we saw many small, medium, and large-scale businesses from different industries showing interest in the app. We thank all of our customers and partners for trusting and supporting us through our journey.
Since our launch, we’ve been working to make Zoho Learn better. Below is a list of all major developments this year.
Mobile apps
After our launch, we wanted our users to have the Zoho Learn experience on the go, even when they're not at their desks. We launched our Android and iOS mobile apps to help users access their manuals and courses from the comfort of their mobile phones.
Fresh look for manuals
Our design team is continuously working toward enhancing the UI experience for our users. This year, we introduced a new default thumbnail image for our manuals. You can also change the default image to an image of your choice in manual settings.
Global templates
Templates in Zoho Learn have helped simplify the process of article creation for our users. In addition to our manual and space-level custom templates, we’ve introduced global templates that can be created and managed by administrators at the hub level. Users can use these templates to create articles across the hub.
Advanced search and other search enhancements
We’ve enhanced our search mechanism and provided advanced filter options to refine your search results. You can now enter the search word and add filter conditions based on the author, location, created time, and tags.
The tags filter allows you to search for articles and courses in your hub using multiple tags. You can enter the tags you want to search for and find articles and courses that match any of the tags or all of the tags in the search.
Compliance settings
Zoho Learn now comes with compliance settings options to facilitate the creation of compliance training programs for your learners. We’ve introduced an acknowledgment checkbox feature that helps you add a customized acknowledgment form at the end of each lesson to enforce mandatory reading. Learners will be allowed to move to the next lesson only after acknowledging that they have read the contents of the current lesson. In addition to this, admins can also modify the completion button displayed at the end of a lesson or a course depending on the contents of the course and the action you want the learners to take.
Question bank enhancements
You can now create a question bank and share it with other hub users using admin, contributor, or reader permissions depending on the type of access they need.
You can also easily import existing questions saved in CSV files to Zoho Learn and map the columns in the CSV to the corresponding fields in the question bank.
Custom portals
We are also in the final stages of developing our custom portal feature, which will be released early next year. With custom portals, you can create branded external portals to share information and courses with your external audience.
That's a wrap for this year. You can check our What's new page to get regular updates on the new features and improvements in Zoho Learn.
