New features to power up Writer's automation templates: Part 3

We've added exciting new features to expand the capabilities of Writer's signature collection workflows.

Through rapid adoption of our Sign templates, you've shown us how valuable a streamlined, easy-to-manage signature collection process is to your business. Already, we've received plenty of requests to add more features that cater to advanced business requirements.

So, that's exactly what we have done! We've added new capabilities that help you configure signature collection workflows that meet your specific business needs. Here's everything you can do with the new features:

1. Collect eSignatures in person

Get documents signed face-to-face, save time, and improve efficiency during meetings with in-person signing!

Let's say you wish to have your client's project director sign off before you start work. Or, say you have to collect your client's eSignature after delivering an important shipment.

In-person singing comes in handy in these scenarios. You'll receive the document by email, meet the signer, and get their eSignature. It's as simple as that!

2. Create. Self-sign. Share—all from within Writer!

Self-sign your document and save or email it to stakeholders—all from a single window. Save time by eliminating the need to toggle between multiple applications/services to create, sign, and share documents.

If you are a consultant or an independent contractor, you will have to submit a signed W-9 form to your employer. Now, you can create a blank W-9 form as a template and include all standard information, like your TIN. Whenever needed, simply enter the unique details, like payment value, add your eSignature, and email the form to your employer.

View real-time self-sign statuses with recall

View a list of all documents in the Self-Sign Queue without moving away from the editor. You can even recall/cancel the signing process right from the queue.

3. Create a custom signing and notification sequence

Streamline signature collection with a custom signing and notification order when engaging multiple signers.

Say you are working on an implementation plan for a client's inventory management system. It has to be signed by the project managers, followed by the project directors. With a custom signing order, you can send the document to the project managers first, along with a notification. Only after the managers sign will the project directors be asked to add their signatures.

4. Collect eSignatures securely

Secure your documents and data by verifying singer identities before allowing them to open documents and add their signatures.

You can generate and share a unique passcode with your signers, which they can use to view and sign the documents. Choose to share passcodes with your signers through SMS, email, or offline sharing.

5. Granularly control the signer blocks

Configure signer field properties, such as mandatory, movable, and re-sizable. Control the finest details of the signature blocks in your document.

Let's say there are multiple signers in a document and you want the signature blocks to appear in a specific order. You can place the signer fields in the desired positions and make them non-movable to prevent them from being moved/re-orderded.

We've also added a host of new features to our fillable templates. You can read about them in part one and two of this blog.

We've also enhanced our Merge Templates with many new capabilities. Read about them here.

That's all, happy writing and signing!
