Zoho Wiki's latest update offers many features that our business users have been asking for. As a business user, were you unsatisfied with the limited number of colored skins provided by Zoho Wiki? Did you find it difficult to point your website URL to your Zoho Wiki? Did you feel that there should be an easier way to delete unwanted comments across your Wiki pages? Or an easier way to read a wiki page's HTML code? This update addresses all these and much more. Highlights of this update include :
- Three types of pages
- Good number of themes
- Custom domain mapping
- Indented HTML code
- UI in 3 more languages
- Multiple/Bulk Delete option of comments
- Pricing
Page Types
When creating a new page using the Create Page button, you are now presented with three options - Web page, Dashboard & File cabinet. Such page options make it easier for you to create an intranet which typically consists of a variety of pages. Web page is the normal page consisting mostly of plain, hyperlinked text with embedded images etc.
Dashboard is more like a start page like iGoogle which allows you to embed a multitude of widgets/gadgets easily.
Currently, Zoho Wiki allows widgets from YouTube, Picasa, Flickr, Zoho, Viddler etc to be embedded. We'll be allowing more sites as we get feedback from users like you. Screenshot of an example dashboard page with embedded Zoho Sheet and Zoho Show files below.
The third and final File cabinet page type allows you to store all types of files as wiki page attachments. You can use such file cabinets as your central file repository.
Themes
Zoho Wiki now offers a lot many themes to choose from. You can choose from around 30 pre-defined themes spread across 5 categories. The visual elements of the wiki like the top/side panels, font type, size and spacing have all been worked upon. Choose your theme now and see how it reflects in changing your old layout to a much improved one.
Custom Domain
Zoho
Wiki now allows you to map custom domains. Say you own the domain http://myexampledomain.com and you want it to point to a Zoho Wiki of yours, this can be done now. Click on Settings -> Custom Domain -> Add Custom Domain and give your domain details. Zoho Wiki will
take care of redirecting the domain to your wiki. [Note : As of now, only 'Read' permission can be given when domain level access is used with this custom domain feature.]
Indented HTML
Zoho Wiki allows you to see the HTML code view of any wiki page. If you have
been using Zoho Writer, you would have noticed the HTML is cleanly indented. Zoho Wiki now does the same. Paragraphs, lists, tables and other such HTML entities are indented and it is now easy if you want to
directly play with the underlying HTML code.
UI in Three more Languages
Zoho Wiki is now available in 10 languages. The new languages that got added in this update are German, Spanish & Turkish. More languages to come.
Multiple/Bulk Delete Option of Comments
It is now easier to keep track of comments across your Zoho Wiki pages. Click on Dashboard -> Comments -> More for accessing all comments
Pricing
Zoho Wiki now offers very affordable pricing plans. There is no upfront cost and you pay-as-you-go. Don't worry, you can still have two wikis with unlimited number of pages free. If you are a business having various teams for Sales, Accounting, Marketing, Design, Production etc, you can have a wiki for each of your teams. Or, if you are an educational
institution, you can create individual wikis for each of your classes, sports groups etc.
Try the all new Zoho Wiki now. Hope you like the new themes and other exciting features. Do let us know your feedback in this blog's comments section or mail us at feedback at zohowiki dot com.

Sharon : Page locking is not there but we will be providing live, shared editing. As of now, changes done will not be lost as Zoho Wiki supports versioning and each person's edits will be saved as a separate version.

Have you added page locking to Zoho Wiki, so if one person is updating a page, another person can't go in and overwrite their changes? That is the one thing above all else that we are looking for.
