This year has been uncertain to say the least, but we made it to the end together. Now, it's time to kick-start 2021 stronger than ever before. We can do that by not forgetting the important tools and lessons we've learned this year as remote work became the new normal.
Many businesses were forced to rely solely on digital systems in order to keep their operations running smoothly, and we were happy to contribute our skills and software to those who needed it.

Transitioning to Remote Staffing
Zoho Workerly's mantra has always been to embrace temp work and help temporary staffing agencies manage their employees. Remote staffing became a norm this year, and our well-curated features helped us make this transition easy for our customers.
Added features in 2020
To enhance the remote staffing experience, Zoho Workerly had a set of features and enhancements added to the product. To name some:
Roster View and Bulk Shift Scheduling : In today's digitally advanced, fast-paced world, agents need to be quick and flexible to adjust to evolving business demands. They can't be expected to keep up with scheduling, re-scheduling, or deleting shifts one by one. Create Bulk Shifts using Roster View in Zoho Workerly instead.
Rate Rules : To streamline the process of paying temps working on different pay scales, we introduced Rate Rules. Now agents can activate Overtime or Special rates (Weekday, Weekend, or Holiday) for their temps.
Day Rates : Companies that calculate their temps' pay in terms of a full-day or half-day of work can now declare their company's total working hours on the company details page. While creating a job, choose the Daily Rate option and work hours will be auto-filled for a half-day or full-day when agents generate timesheets for a completed shift.
Additions to Zoho Marketplace
We are happy to have Ytel and Vonage extensions added to our Marketplace for better communication with temps and clients. Agents can send SMS, record voice messages, and configure IVR using these extensions. (These extensions are available only for US DC users).
We also welcomed our new time-clocking app! :)
Zoho Workerly Kiosk is available to download on the Google Play Store. It is an ideal solution for clients with multiple temps all clocking in at the same location. This easy-to-use, cost-effective, and portable punch clock is a great time-tracking alternative, and it works on any Android device with an internet connection.

We value your data privacy and protection
Data can be encrypted with the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in Zoho Workerly. Agents can enable encryption on custom fields in the Temps and Clients modules by defining it as Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This prevents unauthorized parties—such as blocked users and potential hackers—from gaining access to your sensitive or valuable data in Zoho Workerly.
